YarnArt Samba is an eyelash yarn with a whole lot of character. The loose, flowy little strands create a wonderfully lively texture that contrasts beautifully against smoother yarns. With 150 meters per 100 grams, you can easily work Samba completely on its own or hold it together as a fun carry-along thread with a smoother yarn. It looks absolutely stunning on edges, collars, bags, or throw pillows—basically anywhere that could use a little extra movement and texture. And since it’s made of polyester, you can trust that everything will hold its shape wonderfully.

Your best bet is to work with 5 to 6 mm needles and keep a nice, loose yarn tension. Samba really doesn't like being knit up too tightly. Complicated patterns are completely unnecessary, too—simple, basic stitches are more than enough to let that fun eyelash texture truly shine and do all the work.

I'll be totally honest: it took me a little while to get the hang of this yarn at first. The fringes really like to snag on the needle. But after a few rows, you figure out exactly how to nudge them out of the way. My trick: take it nice and slow, and just feel your way through. And if a strand does get caught—no big deal, just tink back and try again. The yarn is very forgiving. By the way, if you carry it along with another yarn to make a bag, it looks incredibly chic.
