The clever tubular construction completely prevents the yarn from untwisting or fraying on you. Traditionally, this is simply knotted by hand. If you'd rather crochet with it, grab an 8 to 10 mm hook. Simple square knots or gentle wave patterns are completely enough to make it look stunning. Keeping a nice, even tension throughout will ensure your finished piece looks beautifully harmonious and balanced.

A crucial tip for this cord: don't yank on it like crazy. If you pull the knots too tight, the weave loses its shape and gets completely stiff. Just work with a loose, even tension, and the pattern will stay beautifully open and soft. I once made a plant hanger and knotted it way too tightly—it ended up like a block of concrete, with absolutely zero give. On my second attempt, I took a much more relaxed approach, and lo and behold: a gorgeous drape and a much better overall look. So: keep calm and knot on.
