Yes, it's such a great everyday yarn. Nothing overly special, but that's exactly what makes it so good! It contains 20% wool, just enough for a little warmth, but not too much. The rest is acrylic—so it’s super easy to care for and holds its shape beautifully!
With 250 meters per 100 grams, it feels incredibly great in your hands. It absolutely doesn't split, and it doesn't fuss or act up at all. Just dive right in and start knitting!
I really love using Ambiance for hats, scarves, or plain simple sweaters. Those things you just throw on without having to think too much about it. And it survives the washing machine perfectly, too!
Needle sizes of 4 to 5 mm. Whipping up a quick little swatch beforehand lets you know exactly how it will drape and fall. You absolutely don't need any complicated patterns—the yarn is already beautifully calm and completely even all on its own!
A friend of mine moved two years ago. New city, new apartment, zero time for hobbies. Even so, he started knitting a scarf out of Ambiance—just doing ten rows every now and then once the kids were in bed. Half a year later, the scarf was finished. No plan, no gauge swatch, no drama. He still wears it. Not because the scarf is particularly special, but because the yarn never stressed him out. Sometimes, that's entirely enough.
